For me, this place considered a gem in this area. With self ordering system is more efficient and easy. Food are simple and taste not bad, personally like the stir fried mihoon For the chicken floss bun, preferred to heat it up before served.
Hidden gem. Happen to search for good restaurants in Alor Gajah. This restaurant serves nice food and good service. I ordered wrong beverage and the owner exchange it without any complain. Thumb up
A very nostalgic atmosphere. Came in an early morning the place is not crowded, the crowd came in around 8:30am. Food is above average and I didn’t have a chance to try on their signature chicken chop as it’s too early for breakfast. Garlic bread is a must to order for garlic bread lover. I like their service although it’s early morning the young chap and uncle are very friendly. A total of rm 33 which is quite reasonable price. Updated Came 2nd for breakfast. The area is very packed as we reached around 9am. Tried a few other food, still delicious. This time, uncle is very welcoming. As we have 10 pax with us, he make sure we sit together and he makes an effort to join the table for us. Kudos to him.
This old-school Chinese kopitiam in Alor Gajah feels like stepping back in time. We enjoyed their toasted breads with kopi Hailam — such a comforting combo. Also tried the ikan cencaru, chicken chop, and mee goreng. The food was decent, and the vibe was full of charm.
Stopped by for a quick brunch . the tauke very good at recommending their food menu. We ended up ordering hainanese nasi lemak , mee goreng , chicken chop and 3 variety of toast breads . I think the nasi lemak is the best tasting as the sambal had oomph .the coconut in the rice was .. Fried chicken is quite ordinary but since it was freshly fried, it was nice and juicy. I enjoyed the soft garlic bun too . Coffee was ,thick and nice . The Kaya butter toast is the pandan flavoured Kaya which is not bad quite fragrant pandan aroma . The other soft bun is also with Kaya . mee goreng is not too bad either .The chicken chop doesn't taste like old school hainanese chicken chop so I was disappointed by it . We ended up buying their in house coffee bags to bring home
My dad brought me here long ago, and everything have changed, systematic & QR scan orders. Came here to try their food, and will come back to try more of their specialties. Good atmosphere and many seats inside, 2 shop. Chicken chop & hainanese bread was good, only thing is that my Kopi is serve in paper cup that i didn’t take a photo of it. Will try their Cham & fried noodles next time. Great experience & highly recommended!
Wonderful experience. Had chicken chop and nasi lemak. Both had the traditional old time taste. Very good range of cookies made in the vicinity of Alor Gajah. Parking is easy too. Highly recommended!
This Hainan Kopitiam in Alor Gajah has been serving comforting Hainanese food, and it truly lives up to its reputation for five generations. The customer service was exceptional. The staff, a young boy was well-trained and provided really gd recommendations. Food was served quickly too and tasted delicious. This restaurant is a must-visit if you find yourself in the Alor Gajah area. The soft-boiled egg here is a must-try and the Hainanese chicken chop was also tender and juicy, served with some sauce and fries. Their breakfast set is value for money, offering a hearty combination of fried Mee or mihoon, fried chicken, fish cake, egg and hotdogs. Nasi Lemak was good too. In summary, this Hainan Kopitiam deserves high praise for its customer service, yummy food, and great value. Definitely not my last visit.
